TV Smith is an English singer-songwriter, born Chris Tullett. He was the lead singer and songwriter for the punk rock band, The Adverts in the late 1970s. Later, TV went solo and released 10 solo studio albums since his debut in 1979. He has written hundreds of songs tackling topical subjects such as animal rights, migration, over-consumption, the homeless, war and corporate greed. He is politically active, and his works draws inspiration from punk, blues, soul, folk, and Americana. His lyrics are often narrative stories propelled by his some iconic guitar riffs. TV Smith has enjoyed a long career and has toured extensively across the UK and Europe with fellow bands.
