Ty Segall is an American musician and songwriter who has been producing music in various genres such as garage rock, psychedelic rock, and folk rock since 2008. He has released ten studio albums, and several EPs, singles and compilations. His first two albums, 2008's self-titled debut and 2010's Melted, were released to critical acclaim and received an 8.5 and an 8.2 rating respectively on entertainment site Pitchfork. He is most known for his fuzzed out melodic rock sound, and has collaborated with a variety of other artists including Thee Oh Sees, White Fence, and FUZZ. He has toured extensively in support of his music, and has played at various notable music festivals, including Glastonbury in the U.K., Primavera Sound in Spain, and his native San Francisco's Psycho California Festival.
