Upon A Burning Body is a heavy metal/metal-core group from San Antonio, Texas. Formed in 2005, the group has released a multitude of albums. Their musical style and lyrical themes are focused on political and social issues. They have a sound that relies on harsh vocals, hard rock and metalcore, and often employ sampling and programmed parts to create a dynamic sound. They are one of the few more extreme bands to become popular, and have toured extensively with other major metal acts. They’ve played at notable festivals, such as Knotfest and Mayhem Festival, and have performed with bands such as Slipknot and Slayer.
