VOWWS is an experimental rock duo based in Los Angeles, California, formed in 2014 by Rizz who had previously played in the band The Secrets and known for his unique array of synthesizers, and Matt Cargill. The duo released their debut eponymous EP in 2014 and their first full-length album, Under the World, in 2016. Their sound blends industrial, alternative, and electronic music, fusing heavy drums and distorted guitar lines with melodic vocals.

In 2018 they released their second album The Great Sun through Warrior Records. The album has been described as a “cinematic offering of sonic explorations into post-punk landscapes and elements of electronic synths”. In 2019, they released the single "Silver Tongues" which was featured on the Netflix show Trinkets.
