About Widespread Panic
Widespread Panic is an American rock band from Athens, Georgia, known for their blend of Southern rock and jam band. Formed in 1986, they have released twelve full-length studio albums, nine archival live albums, and over thirty singles through Dave Matthews' ATO Records. Their most recent studio album release dates back to 2018.
Widespread Panic concerts are known for their extended instrumentals, improvisational jam-style playing, and the inclusion of covers of songs by bands such as The Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Phish, and Led Zeppelin. They have also opened for other bands throughout their career, including R.E.M., Widespread Panic, and Dave Matthews Band.
