About 999 (UK Band)
999 is a post-punk, punk rock band formed in London, England in 1975. They are considered one of the founding influences of punk rock. The original lineup for 999 featured Guy Days (vocals/guitar), Nick Cash (guitar), and Pablo Labritain (bass). Their debut album, Separates, was released in 1977.
999 had several hit singles in the late 1970s like “Homicide”, “Feelin’ Alright With the Crew” and “Emergency". They also released two critically acclaimed albums, Concrete and High Energy Plan. In the 1980s, their sound changed from punk to a more pop-oriented sound, releasing the singles “Love I Told You So”, “Watching You” and “Don’t You Know, I Need You”.
999 continue to tour and release music, playing together for 43 years.
