Basta is a rap artist and Hip-hop producer from St. Petersburg, Russia. He has been called one of the most influential names in the Russian rap scene. His music is considered to be the perfect mix between East and West audio cultures. He has released five solo albums starting with 2012's Unknowns, which featured hit singles such as "Leto" and "Hustlin". He has also collaborated with numerous Russian artists and international stars such as Akon and Busta Rhymes. Basta performs frequently and has toured to many countries while also producing for other artists. In 2011, he won the Lifetime Achievement Award in Russia's Rap Music in Pop Music Awards. Basta's sound has also been featured in video games, television series, and in various songs.
