Big Boi is an American Hip-Hop artist, actor, and record producer from Atlanta, Georgia. He began his career with the rap duo Outkast, alongside Andre 3000. The duo released 8 studio albums between 1994 and 2006, selling over 25 million albums worldwide. The success of their albums and singles gained the group immense critical acclaim, winning six Grammy Awards. These included Album of the Year for their 2003 release, Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. Big Boi then went on to pursue a solo career without Andre, releasing his first album in 2010. His debut album, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, was met with critical praise, garnering a Grammy Award nomination for Best Rap Album. His other two solo albums to date are Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors (2012) and Boomiverse (2017). The success of his 5th studio album has made him one of the founding figures of Southern Hip-Hop.
