Black Motion is a music group from the South African music scene. It blends traditional African sounds with electronic beats, creating a unique and uplifting sound. Consisting of founding members Thabo “Smol” Mabogwane and Robert "Murdah" Mahosana, since its formation in 2010, the group has had an impressive career, having been nominated for numerous awards, including two South African Music Awards and 8 Metro FM Awards. Apart from performing all over the continent, Black Motion has also been chosen to represent South Africa at such prestigious festivals and events as the Cape Town International Jazz Festival, Sauti za Busara in Tanzania and the World Music Festival in Japan. The duo has also collaborated with sizable acts such as Major Lazer, Da Capo and Julien Ryckaert.
