Camel is a progressive rock band originating from the UK, formed in 1971. The band is known for their intricate and expressive sound, characterized by instrumental passages, complex time signatures and unique keyboard sounds.

Camel's first album, Camel (1973), established the band’s signature style. It created a devoted fan base due to their accessible melodies combined with the complexity and virtuosity of their instrumental passages. Subsequent albums such as Mirage (1974) and Snow Goose (1975) further cemented their reputation as an ambitious and proficient act.

The band has gone through many lineup changes over the years, with the core of the lineup remaining around bassist Andy Latimer. In 1982, the band released The Single Factor, a critically acclaimed record that spawned the hit single “Send My Heart Home”.

Camel continues to make music, most recently releasing The Snow Goose: Live in London in 2014. They are currently on tour in Europe and
