Chaka Demus & Pliers is an internationally-renowned two-man reggae and dancehall musical duo from Jamaica. The members are songwriter and DJ John Taylor (Chaka Demus) and musician and songwriter Everton Bonner (Pliers). They are best-known for their 1992 hit single "Tease Me," which was a number one hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart and led to increased success around the world. The group continued to produce popular music throughout the 1990s and released the albums Gal Wine (1993), Tough Life (1995), Bigga Baggariddim (1996), and Strictly Show Business (1999). Their biggest hit came with their 2003 single "Murder She Wrote" which was a huge hit in the UK.
