Clay Aiken is an American singer, actor, and former politician, who first gained fame as a runner-up on the TV show American Idol. His debut album, Measure of a Man, was released in 2003 and achieved Platinum status. Its popular single, “This Is the Night”, reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Since then he has released five studio albums, all of which have been certified Gold or higher and sold a combined total of over 4 million copies. Aiken currently maintains a successful live performance schedule, has toured with several Broadway shows, and has even performed as a singing impressionist on The Celebrity Apprentice. He was also a Democratic candidate in the U.S. House of Representatives election in 2014.
