Czarface is an American hip-hop trio composed of Wu-Tang Clan founding member Inspectah Deck, and underground hip-hop duo 7L & Esoteric. First meeting in 2011, Czarface formed as a way for the trio to combine their diverse talents, with Inspectah Deck bringing gritty, battle-style rhymes, 7L providing multi-syllable wordplay, and Esoteric offering tongue in cheek humor. Czarface released their self-titled debut album in 2013, and have since released a further five LPs. Throughout their discography, they have been praised for their vivid storytelling and creative, video game and comic book inspired beats and rhymes. The trio has received critical acclaim, being featured on some of hip-hop's hottest publications, and have even collaborated with chart-topping acts such as Ghostface Killah, Haleem Adbul Khaalick, and Vinnie Paz.
