David Keenan is a singer/songwriter from Dundalk, Ireland who has released a series of critically acclaimed soul searching EPs and has become a potent, left-field songwriter. His emotive lyrics and enthralling melodies have prompted comparisons to Jeff Buckley and Leonard Cohen. In 2018, David released his debut LP ‘A Beginner’s Guide To Bravery’, which was a commercial and critical success, reaching number 1 in the Irish charts, and leading to some big name support slots such as Tommy Tiernan and Lisa Hannigan. David also received a Choice Music Prize nomination for Irish Album of the year. He continues to attract followers with his melancholic ballads and intimate live performances, which often involve snippets of stories from his autobiographical lyrics.
