Dele Sosimi Afro Beat Orchestra is a multi-talented London-based group of artists and musicians from diverse backgrounds. Led by Nigerian-born composer, singer and keyboardist Dele Sosimi, the Orchestra has pioneered the Afro Beat genre since its formation in 2002. They are renowned for their unique and energetic interpretations of traditional Afro Beat music, fused with modern arrangements, and a wide range of genres, spanning soul, funk, dance, jazz, reggae, hip-hop and much more. Taking their music to audiences across the world, they have played to capacity crowds at major festivals including Glastonbury and Bestival, and recently held a three-night residency at London’s renowned Jazz Cafe. They have released two studio albums to critical acclaim, and continue to record and perform in their signature style, perfecting the genre of Afro Beat music.
