About Della Mae

Della Mae is an American bluegrass group crediting their influence to numerous blues, folk and rock musicians. Founded in 2009 by guitarist and lead singer Celia Woodsmith, the five-piece group has since taken the bluegrass scene by storm with a modern spin on the traditional style. Drawing heavily from many genres, they have released four studio albums since their formation.

Lead singer Woodsmith is widely known for her soulful and versatile vocals - backed up by her cohorts on vocals and strings - mandolin, fiddle, banjo, and acoustic bass. Their 2013 album, "This World Oft Can Be," reached the No. 10 spot on the Billboard Bluegrass Album Chart, earning them much-deserved exposure.

Della Mae has provided support on tour for bands like The Avett Brothers, Old Crow Medicine Show, and The Punch Brothers. In 2016, they released their most successful album to date, "Della Mae," which debuted
