Eels is an American indie rock band formed in California in 1995, by feature singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mark Oliver Everett (also known as ‘E’). The band’s rotating lineup of musicians has gone through numerous changes throughout its history. The band’s sound is known for its mix of folk, jazz, and classic rock elements. They have released 12 studio albums and 5 extended plays full of classic hits such as "Beautiful Freak" and "Novocaine for the Soul", with their highest charting single being 2003’s "Saturday Morning". Over the years, Eels have also earned several awards, including 2 Grammy Awards for Best Alternative Musical Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical. The band has performed in numerous tours and festivals all over the world, while also headlining their own shows. They have also collaborated with other artists, such as Norah Jones, Fiona Apple, and Modest Mouse.
