Elisapie Isaac, known professionally as Elisapie, is a Canadian Inuk musician, filmmaker, and activist born in Salluit, Nunavik, Quebec. With roots deeply embedded in her Inuit heritage, she began her career as part of the duo Taima, winning a Juno Award for Indigenous Music Album of the Year in 2005. Elisapie has since released several solo albums, blending folk, pop, and traditional Inuit influences, gaining acclaim for her soulful voice and poignant storytelling. In addition to her music, she has worked as a director and has been a vocal advocate for Indigenous issues, using her platform to raise awareness and promote cultural understanding.
