Gaby Moreno is a Guatemalan-born singer, songwriter, guitarist, and actress. She has been active in the music industry since 2006. She is most known for blending Latin, blues, folk, jazz, and soul music into a style she describes as “spanglish folk soul”. Gaby released her debut album titled "Still the Unknown" in 2006 and was subsequently recognized as one of twelve Latinas on the Rise by Latina Magazine of the same year. Her second studio album was released in 2010 entitled "Illustrated Songs". She has since collaborated with multiple notable artists, including Amanda Shires, Richard Thompson, Tracy Chapman and Van Dyke Parks. Moreno was nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2013 for Best New Artist. Her third album "Postales" was released in 2015 and received widespread critical acclaim. In 2021, Gaby was namechecked in a new J. Cole song featuring 21 Savage and morale.
