Goodie Mob is an American hip hop group from Atlanta, Georgia. They are an integral part of the southern hip-hop scene, and associated with their pioneers OutKast. The original four members, Cee-Lo Whatley, Big Gipp, Khujo, and T-Mo, started the group in 1995. Their debut album, Soul Food, defined southern hip-hop with its funky aesthetic and lyrics that addressed social issues. They continued their streak of conscious rap by releasing two more albums, Still Standing (2002) and World Party (2008), both of which were met with critical and commercial success. The group has gone through multiple line-up changes and break-ups, but all four original members reunited in 2017. Goodie Mob remains one of the most influential and iconic hip hop groups from the South. They are credited with creating new musical styles and opening the door for the next generation of southern hip hop artists.
