House of Love avatar

House of Love is an English rock band from the 1980s and early 1990s, comprising of members Guy Chadwick, Terry Bickers and Pete Evans. The band's music was characterized by its jangly guitar sound, dreamy melodies and unconventional lyrics. House of Love saw success with their self-titled debut album in 1988, which saw three of its singles featured in the UK Top 40 Singles Chart. Their second album, The Butterfly, continued the trend of chart success with three more songs in the UK Top 40. The band disbanded in 1993, but later reformed in 2003 and continue to tour and record to this day. House of Love are recognized as being one of the most influential British indie bands of the 1980s and early 1990s.
