Karina is a Latin pop singer, songwriter, and TV host from the Dominican Republic. She first came into the spotlight at the age of sixteen when she released her debut album Aquí Estoy Yo (Here I Am). The album spawned several hit singles, and earned Karina four Latin Grammy nominations. She has since gone on to release six additional albums throughout her career. Karina has also built a successful career as a television presenter and judge—most notably as one of the three celebrity judges on the US version of the hit show The Voice. In addition to her work in television, Karina has also taken on many major roles in film and theater. She currently resides in Los Angeles, and continues to pursue her music, television, and acting careers.
