Kate Bush is an iconic British singer-songwriter and musician whose career spans over 40 years. Bush released her self-titled debut album in 1978 and it topped the UK Album Charts. She released another top 3 album in 1979, Lionheart that had more of a folk sound than her first album. In 1986, her most successful album Hounds of Love hit the top spot in the UK and contains her most well-known song, "Running Up That Hill". Bush has achieved eight UK No. 1 singles, as well as the album The Red Shoes, which has been awarded five-times Platinum status. She has also been nominated for a Grammy Award, a BAFTA, and the British Phonographic Industry has declared her as the UK's most successful female artist.
