Kids Return is a two-person music project from Washington, DC that draws influences from a wide range of pop and electronic music. The duo, consisting of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sarah Janet and producer Michael Harkey, mix melodic textures, dynamic sounds, and emotive vocals to create their dreamy, genre-bending sound. In 2019 their enrapturing debut full-length album, ‘Return’, was released to critical acclaim, with The Washington Post hailing it as “an impressive introduction”. The music video for their single ‘Farewell’ was featured on NPR Music’s Best Music Videos of 2019. Kids Return have performed extensively around the city, both in live venues and on college radio.In 2020, Kids Return released a follow-up EP of ‘Return’, titled ‘Wakeup’, that further showcased their moody, captivating sound.
