Kristin Hersh is an American singer-songwriter who has released music as a solo artist, with her bands Throwing Muses and 50FootWave, and as a member of the collective trio The Attic Scientists. She has released ten solo albums since she started her solo career in 1994. Through her music, she has explored a variety of genres, such as rock, punk, and folk. Hersh has toured extensively throughout her career, and she's appeared in numerous festivals, such as the Newport Folk Festival and Roskilde Festival. Aside from recording and performing music, Hersh is also an author, having written five books, including a memoir about her life in music, and a self-improvement book. In 2019, she released the album Possible Dust Clouds which received critical acclaim.
