Marshall Crenshaw is an American singer-songwriter best known for his hit songs “Someday, Someway” and “Cynical Girl.” Born in Michigan in 1953, Crenshaw began playing guitar at 14 and performing in high school bands. In the 70s, he moved to New York to pursue a professional music career and signed with Warner Bros. Records in 1982. His self-titled debut album yielded several hit singles that landed in the Top 40 charts. His single “Someday, Someway” was his biggest hit, making it to #36 on the Billboard charts. After a brief break from music, Crenshaw returned to recording in the late 90s and is still writing and touring today. To date, Crenshaw has released twelve studio albums, three compilation albums, and three EPs.
