Sam Williams is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist, who has released four studio albums of roots-influenced Americana since his debut record in 2006. His music combines elements of country, blues, rock, and folk. Williams has been praised for his unique blend of all these genres, and for his passionate delivery of his heartfelt lyrics.

Williams began his career with a string of singles, starting with the upbeat track "Rails" in 2002. After releasing three solo albums, he formed a group with Chris Darrow and Don Heffington in 2009, calling it the Sam Williams Band. He released his most recent album, Good Fire Engine, in 2016, which was recorded live with an ensemble of highly-regarded session players. This album landed Williams on tours with some major acts, such as Dwight Yoakam, Los Lobos, and Lucinda Williams.
