Sanctuary tickets

Sanctuary is an American metal band founded in Seattle, Washington in the late 1980s. The band was originally composed of vocalist Warrel Dane, lead guitarist Lenny Rutledge, bassist Jim Sheppard, and drummer Dave Budbill. Sanctuary released three studio albums between 1987 and 1994, gradually becoming more popular on the metal scene in Europe. The progressive elements of their music brought comparisons to Iron Maiden, to which Sanctuary welcomed thanks to their mutual respect. The band had a brief reunion in 2010 to tour and record a live album, with Brad Hull joining on lead guitar. In 2014, Sanctuary released their fourth studio album, "The Year The Sun Died." The album generally received positive reviews from critics, who praised its melding of thrash and classical metal. Sanctuary split in 2015, but have reunited once again in 2019 with a new lineup of members.
