The Exploited are an influential punk rock band from Scotland, formed in 1979. Their songs are characterized by political themes and extreme speed. They are credited with being one of the main influences in the punk and hardcore scenes in the UK and Europe. They rose to fame in the late 1970s and early 1980s with their albums Punks Not Dead and Troops of Tomorrow.
