The Hollies are an English rock band formed in Manchester, England in 1962. Considered to be one of the leading British groups of the 1960s, The Hollies combined a mixture of American and British pop music influences with their unique three-part vocal harmonies and light, melodic sound. The original lineup of the group featured Allan Clarke on lead vocals, Tony Hicks and Graham Nash on guitar and vocals, Eric Haydock on bass and Bobby Elliott on drums. The Hollies had their first chart-topping hit in 1964 with “Just One Look,” and their hit songs “I’m Alive” and “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother” made the group an international sensation. The Hollies have continued to tour, record and release new music throughout their career, and their songs have been covered by artists such as The Beatles, Elvis Presley and Bruce Springsteen.
