The Paddy Cakes are an instrumental and traditional Irish folk music band from Dublin, Ireland. Their music is heavily inspired by Irish céilí and traditional Irish folk music, composed predominantly of fiddles, flutes, bodhráns, concertinas, and tin whistles. The Paddy Cakes have been active since 2002, and are best known for their original arrangements of Irish favorites, such as “The Irish Rover”, “Danny Boy”, and “The Fields of Athenrye”. Through their live performances, they have toured internationally and regularly appear in festivals and events. The Paddy Cakes have released eight full-length albums to date, and their latest effort, 2018’s Celebrating a Decade, was nominated for numerous awards and premiered in a special music video. The hard-working band continues to be delighting audiences with their unique, energetic style.
