The Queers tickets

The Queers are an American punk rock band that was formed by Joe Queer in Portsmouth, New Hampshire in 1982. The original line-up featured Joe Queer, Steve Appelo, and Hippy Jo and their sound was heavily influenced by 60s British Invasion bands and 70s Punk rock.

Over the years, the band's line-up has changed and included over 50 musicians but Joe Queer has remained the only constant in the band. The Queers have gained a cult following for their distinctive, irreverent, tongue-in-cheek style of punk rock and have released numerous studio albums and compilations.

The Queers have also been credited with spearheading the development of Pop Punk in the early 90s, and they are considered to be influential to an entire generation of punk and pop punk bands. They have toured extensively over the past two decades, playing over 1300 shows in their native United States as well as Europe.
