The Steel Woods are a Southern Roots-based rock/country influenced Americana band from Nashville, TN. Led by co-founders Wes Bayliss and Jason "Rowdy" Cope, the band has been making music since 2010. The Steel Woods have gained attention for their unique blend of driving Rock, blues, Southern Soul, and mountain living. Their debut album, Straw in the Wind, was released in 2017 and produced by Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb. The single "All of the Above" received heavy airplay on both Americana and country radio stations and also was featured on SiriusXM's Outlaw Country channel. The Steel Woods have toured extensively and have shared the stage with the likes of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Shooter Jennings, and John Prine. Their most recent release, Old News, earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Americana Album in 2020.
