Yan Cook is an electronic music artist born in Ukraine in 1990. He became involved in music as a teenager exploring the techno and house music scenes in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. He has been releasing his music independently since 2013, with a few releases on notable labels such as Dimensions and ARTS. His sound is dark and gritty, drawing inspiration from classic techno and Detroit techno, but also incorporating elements of experimental and industrial music. His most recent album, Monument, was released in 2019. His unique style has earned him recognition from the likes of Slam, Marcel Dettmann, and Mano Le Tough, who have all featured his tracks on their radio shows. He is a rising star in the techno scene and is one of the few producers who are still developing their sound and pushing the genre forward.
