Ben Elton tickets

Ben Elton is an English comedian, actor, writer and director who began his career in the 1980s as a stand-up comedian and later achieved fame for his sitcoms Blackadder and The Young Ones. During this time he began writing books, some of which were adapted into films. He has since written 15 novels, six musicals and four plays, including Little Voice, which was very successful on Broadway and the West End. Elton has also starred in many films including Maybe Baby, and Bringing Down the House. Apart from writing and performing, Elton is an accomplished director, having won a BAFTA award for The Family Way in 2000. He has also supported many charities, most notably Comic Relief. In more recent years, Elton has appeared on the comedy quiz show QI and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Letters by the University of Exeter in 2016.
