About Alexander Gadjiev
Alexander Gadjiev is a Greek-born classical pianist of Russian descent. He began playing piano at the age of 4, and at 15 he won the highest award at the International Franz Liszt Piano Competition. He has released four solo albums on labels such as Sony Classical, Deutsche Grammophon and Hyperion and has collaborated with numerous orchestras and renowned chamber musicians. He has performed in recitals and concerts around the world, including the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, Lincoln Center in New York and Musashino Hall in Tokyo. His repertoire includes works by composers from Scarlatti to Ligeti and Pärt, and he has premiered several works composed specifically for him. He has also recorded for and worked with film, video game and commercial production companies.
