Alicia Myers is a soul and dance artist from Detroit, Michigan. Her career began in 1981 when she released her debut album I Fooled You This Time. Alicia quickly gained popularity amongst the Disco/Funk scene, thanks for her strong vocals and classic dance riffs. She became well known for the hits I Wanna Dance With You and I Want To Thank You. Her second album, Alicia, released in 1983, propelled her to the top of the charts, with her single Appreciation peaking at number 11. Alicia continued to record and tour throughout the '80s and '90s, eventually releasing her fourth album called Choices in 2004. Her legacy still continues to live on, and Alicia is now regarded as one of the greatest soul-disco artists of all time.
