Catherine Britt is an Australian country music singer-songwriter hailing from New South Wales. Her work mixes traditional honky-tonk country with more contemporary country and Celtic influences. She has been active in the Australian music industry since 2000, releasing seven studio albums, several extended plays and many singles. Her first album, Dusty Smiles and Heartbreak Cures, was released in 2003 and launched her into stardom with the help of the Gold-certified single “The Upside of Being Down.” From there, she released singles such as “Not Old Enough” and “What I Do with What I’ve Got”. Britt also participated in collaborative tours such as the Great Southern Nights and Bushfire Relief Benefit concerts. In 2017, she released her most recent album, Catherine Britt and the Cold Cold Hearts, which received praise from critics. She continues to write and perform her music for fans all across Australia.
