Cedric Burnside is an American blues singer, songwriter, and drummer from Mississippi. He is a descendant of the legendary bluesman, R.L. Burnside, and is known for playing in Hill Country blues style. Cedric has collaborated with many legendary blues artists such as Jimmy Rogers and recorded for labels like Fat Possum Records and Hattie Mae Music. He was a mainstay of the Fat Possum roster and released six critically acclaimed albums from 2004-2015. In 2016 he was nominated for a Grammy for Best Traditional Blues Album for his record "Descendants Of Hill Country." He has earned three Blues Music Awards for his work, and regularly tours around the US and abroad. Burnside continues to spread his blues legacy and keep the music alive.
