Defences is an electronica musician based in Toronto, Canada. His musical influences span a broad range of genres, from EDM and chillwave, to ambient and alt-pop. He has released three EPs to date - Lineage, Weekender, and Aye Aye - plus two virtual singles - Everlong and Encrypted. His music has been featured on a variety of streaming platforms, and he recently won the award for "Best Dance" at the 2020 Indie Music Awards. Defences is an ambitious, forward-thinking composer and producer whose work showcases his unique blend of musical influences. He is currently working on his fourth EP, which is expected to be released sometime in 2021.
