Fell Out Boy is an American rock band, formed in Wilmette, Illinois, in 2001. The band consists of Patrick Stump (lead vocals, guitar, and primary composer), Pete Wentz (bass guitar, backing vocals, and primary lyricist), Joe Trohman (lead guitar, backing vocals), and Andy Hurley (drums, percussion). Since their debut album, Take This to Your Grave, released in 2003, their sound has mixed pop punk, emo, and rock, with lyrics capturing themes of love, anxiety, heartbreak, and confusion. The band has taken extended hiatuses throughout their career, regrouping multiple times with new albums and international tours. Their fifth album, Save Rock and Roll, was released in 2013, and achieved commercial success, charting in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 and being certified platinum in the US.
