About Floral Image
Psychedelic Pop Band from the Third-Eye of Norwich, UK
Hold onto your hats - because the Floral Image train has left the station. Destination? Who knows.
The journey? Well, it began in the deep, dark depths of the Norfolk countryside in 2019, eventually crystallising into the five-piece Psychedelic Pop band that you see today, located in the third-eye of Norwich, UK. Since that night of genesis, the band has gone on to become known for their astronomically mind-melting live show and their self-released demos and latest single Why I Leave, which were selected by Huw Stephens, earning ‘Ones to Watch’ status on his Radio 1 BBC Music Introducing Show. Their latest release is called Tapes of Topology which is a collection of recordings featuring experimental originals and remixes which were created when the band could not be together.
Similar to a game of Consequences, the idea of Tapes of Topology was for a band member to individually create a piece of music and then to pass it onto the next, which would be inspired by what came before, and to keep doing so until we saw a natural end.
What resulted is a continuous flow of soundscapes whereby each band member submitted two recordings, with the final song being created in a room together after a long period of separation.
