About Gary Numan
Gary Numan is a pioneer of electronic music from the United Kingdom. He began his musical career in the late 70s as the lead singer and synthesizer player for the band Tubeway Army. His breakthrough came with the release of his album Replicas in 1979, which spawned the hit singles "Are 'Friends' Electric" and "Cars". Since then, his influence has been felt through the electronic and industrial music scenes. Besides writing and performing his own music, Numan has collaborated with numerous other musicians across a variety of genres. As a live artist, his ambitious tours have combined music, story-telling, theatrics and special effects. Over the course of his 40 year career, Numan has released 22 studio albums, all of which have contributed to his status as one of the most influential and iconic figures in electronic music.
