Gumnut tickets

Gumnut is a four-piece alternative / indie rock band based in Sydney, Australia. The ensemble, formed in 2012, is composed of vocalist / guitarist Lee Williams, guitarist Sean Ayliffe, bassist Matthew Dowling, and drummer Nerys Moore.

The group quickly gained a local following, refining their energetic sound which fuses together post-punk melodies, warm synths and shoegaze-esque textures. To date they have released two EPs, 2014’s 'Home Demo Songs', and 2015’s 'Broken', both of which garnered critical praise.

Whether rocking the ceiling in their local pubs, or delivering hard hitting live performances, Gumnut try to create an atmosphere of intensity and energy. In 2018 they were nominated for Best Independent Artist at the Australian Independent Music Awards.
