JD is an American artist and rapper from the West Coast. He made his mark in the rap and hip hop scene in the late-90s, recording a string of hit singles. His debut album 'Day in the Life'was released in 1998, introducing his witty lyrics and distinctive flow to the music world. Over the next two decades, JD went on to release a further seven albums, garnering award nominations and critical acclaim, and collaborating with artists including Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube and Kurupt. His most successful song was 'Nobody Wins', which charted in the US Billboard Hot 100. JD has also been heavily involved in philanthropic work, setting up a charity to provide funding to families affected by violence and gang crime in his home city.
