Often compared to a sound similar to Nas and with influences from Tupac or MF DOOM, Joey Bada$$ is not adhering to the new way of rapping and prefers to keep things more fluid and retro.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Joey first got his shot at the big stage when he joined Pro Era collective with which he released three mixtapes. With a passion for the indie and alienated sound, Joey Bada$$ released his debut studio album, B4.Da.$$, in 2015, that left a mark on the Billboard charts that year. His passion for everything that's unusual came intro fruition as he began collaborating with bands like Glass Animals and obtrusive groups like Tablo. He's not reinventing the rapping wheel, but he surely brings the fresh hip-hop sound back to where it belongs!
