John Mayall is an English blues singer, songwriter, pianist, and guitarist who has been active in the music industry since the 1960s. As a band leader, he has released more than 50 albums, many of which contain some of the most famous collaborations in blues music history. He was also the founder of the influential British blues movement in the 1960s, which helped to revitalize interest in British blues music. As a solo artist, John Mayall has recorded a series of acoustic blues albums which showcase his skillful harmonica playing and vocals. He has also collaborated with some of the biggest names in blues, including members of The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, and John Lee Hooker. Mayall continues to tour and perform, and release records. His most recent album, Nobody Told Me, was released in May 2020.
