K-Hand (real name Cheryl Pittman) is an American artist, who has been one of the most influential DJs in techno music since the early 1990s. She has made a name for herself as an acclaimed producer, remixer and turntablist, with her works being released on labels such as her own Hand Made Music, as well as Submerge, Third Ear and M-Plant. As one of the first female DJs in the genre, K-Hand has paved the way for a new generation of performers, and she has inspired a whole culture of underground female DJs. Over her three decade career, K-Hand has provided several classic anthems and collaborations, in addition to her own production and engaging discography. She has made numerous appearances as a radio broadcaster, presenter and panelist as well, and she remains one of the most respected techno artists in the world today.
