Kip Winger is a multi-talented American musician best known as the lead singer and bassist for the 1980s hard rock band Winger. With the release of their debut album in 1988, Winger gained wide commercial success through their melodic hard rock style and popular single "17". Kip continued to write and produce albums for the band, exploring various genres such as progressive metal, blues, and jazz. After the disbandment of Winger in 1994, Kip moved on to explore classical music and created his own classical album, "Conversations with Nijinsky". He has also produced multiple solo albums which combine the classic hard rock sound of Winger with his passion for classical music. Today, Kip still tours and performs with Winger and continues to write and perform his own solo material.
