About LIFE
LIFE is an English punk rock band formed in 2009 in Leeds. The band is composed of lead vocalist Mez Green, guitarists Mike Green and Stew Haynes, bassist Sean Reynolds and drummer Rich Priske. The band has had multiple releases since their inception including singles, EPs, albums, and live recordings. They achieved mainstream success with their 2013 album "Popular Music". LIFE's second album "A Picture of Good Health" earned them a Mercury Prize nomination in 2018. The band has toured extensively to promote their albums, particularly in Europe where they influenced a new wave of punk-rock acts. They play a blend of punk, new wave, and post-punk with introspective, mature lyrics, and influence from Britpop and shoegazing. LIFE's infectious energy and unpredictable live performances have made them one of the more exciting British acts of the last decade.
